One week

If you like to expierience sleddogadventure for one  week ,no problem ! 4 or 6 dogs and a sled are ready for you to go .First of all you`ll get instructions , how to handle the dogs and the sled. We will give you a description of all important things in dogsleddriving .

Then the fun begins with the dogs in front of your sled will we start a one weektour through the forest to the mountains ,the landscape will impress you !We will stay over night in mountaincabins/tents,where we enjoy the typical food of Lapland - laxtrout , reindeer/moosemeat .....and sleep on reindeerskinn.

On our breaks we will do icefishing , cook coffee on the open fire , grilling ...., after one week we`ll be back in the civilisation.

1. day :

Information and Instruction in sleddogdriving.We pack the sleds with all nessesary equipment for the tour. Then the tour starts . We have about 50 km to the first cabin. We have to pass big lakes , forest and the mountains. There is a high mountain after 30 km we have to go up with the dogs , not only the dogs have to work....We pass the mountains and cross the lake calls "Överst Juktan" . There we will stay over night in a cabin with electricity but without running water . First we have to take care of our dogs. Then we`ll have to heat upp the cabin with wood and have to get water on the lake. There is only a outside toilett . We`ll cook the meal for the evening , hearing the dogs howling in the night. 

2 .day :

We are getting ready for the next trip over the big lake . We have to cross the lake (10 km ) and then we have to go upp the mountains again . We have to help the dogs .Hoping to have nice weather and a beautifull view over the mountain top. After 35 km on the dogsled we will arrive in  Ammarnäs a little village. There we`ll stay at a guesthouse and have a good meal in the evening . Maybe we should take the chance taking a shower in the evening - going  in the sauna ? Load upp batteries for the next day ...

3. day 

After feeding the dogs and breakfast are we going från Ammarnäs to the "Tärnasjöstuga." We will pass really nice landscape . The distance is  40 km . There are 2 cabins . A main cabin with place for 20 persons and a little cabin for 4 -6 persons. These cabins are without electricity and running water in the middel of nowhere .Really nice view on the lake and mountains. We have a nice dinner in the evening with candle light and we hear the dogs howling after feeding . Maybe we`ll see the northern light ...

4.day

On the way to "Aivak stugan" (Överst Juktan). That will be a tuff trip . We have to go with our dogteam 65 km through all kind of landscape , hoping to have good weatherconditions. We will decide already in the morning if we go this way (Aivak) or the way back to Ammarnäs . Somehow we`ll have a cabin in the night and a good dinner . The Aivak cabin is without elctricity and water on the big lake Överst Juktan .

5. day

We `ll go to the " Magasjön stuga "  . We `ll pass all kinds of landscape upp to the mountains to the top , enjoying the trip 65 km (from Ammarnäs to Magasjön) 45 km from Aivak till Magasjön.It`s a nice cabin at this place (no electr. no running water) We take care of our dogs and prepare the dinner , heating for the night and doing ice fishing on the lake if we want to.

6.day 

Our last trip , it`s about 25 km . We don`t have to hurry and can take it easy this day. Enjoy the last trip with your dogs , now you know all their names - for sure ! You have to to say good bey to your friends when we `re coming home , take pictures . We`ll have a nice meal in the evening and looking at all pictures we have made on our trip and talking about funny scenes - we`ll sleep good this last night in this beautifull country...

7.day

Back to the civilisation . You`ll get breakfast before we`ll  ride you to the airport ,hoping you had a good time with your husky team - a trip you never will forget !
